Easy read and the characters are as lovable as ever. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Nona Sebastian on Fearless Fourteen (09 August 2010)Well, what can I say? I became another satisfied reader after finishing Fearless Fourteen. I love the characters, especially Brenda, Mooner, and Gary--a bit kooky, but they are what makes this a damn good story. Despite what some reviewers have said, I'm still getting a kick out of Stephanie Plum with her two men. Stephanie always manages to get herself involved in humorous, outrageous situations. This is what drives her mother to drink or take pills. But if all women took the path Stephanie Plum's mother favors, life wouldn't be exciting or interesting now, would it? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Fearless Fourteen Review (13 July 2010)Ordered two books at the same time. One book arrived quickly the second book took weeks longer to arrive. I sent two emails inquiring about my second book, but got no response. Finally almost two weeks after the delivery date the second book arrived. Book was in good shape as stated, but slow in delivery. Maybe it was the mix-up of buying two at the same time. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The same Plum gang in a new adventure (10 July 2010)Lots of people reviewing the book seem to want character development. I happen to like the Plum gang just as they are. What I want in each book is some adventure and some laughs, and this book gave me both. The characters are pretty much the same as they were in the last several books. Stephanie has gotten better at dealing with skips, and while she doesn't do a lot of bounty hunting in this book, when she does, she almost seems competent. Lula is also pretty much the same, though her relationship with Tank is taken up a notch. There is a lot of Lula in this book, and I get a kick out of her so I was happy. There isn't a whole lot of time for several of the other characters, though everyone makes an appearance, but that is because Stephanie and Lula spend a lot of time dealing with the main adventure and a sub plot that goes along with that adventure. For me, it is about getting to visit with some old friends once a year. I like that we can pick up right where we left off, have some laughs, and enjoy a story. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Shameless Fun (01 July 2010)I was really glad to have a break from the bipolar love life of Stephanie Plum. I had a chance to breath, chuckle and belly laugh at the crazy people milling around the Burg. Stephanie is actually the sane one in this book, and I like her so I was glad to see her being relatively less of a train wreck than everyone else. Everyone else is still there and still the same, but Stephanie seems to have matured. I was a little sorry The Cop boyfriend didn't get saddled with a teenage love child - he deserved to and it might have made his character mature a bit. But I still enjoyed the book very much and I look forward to the next one. | ![]() |
