| | Customer Reviews: Another great Sookie book! (06 January 2009)This particular book is probably my favorite in the Sookie books. I loved the whole vampire convention idea. Imagining a full convention with nothing but vamps and other supes running around is great fun. Plus there is non stop action. Love this book - a great read for anyone. All Together Dead (03 January 2009)This book was very disappointing. Too over the top and not in a good way. Too many character changes, even Sookie. If you like the series True Blood and Bill- you will not enjoy this. Too depressing in parts. I liked the fun Sookie. Sookie is back! (31 December 2008)This was another great tale of Sookie's misadventures. We get more insight into the vampire world and we see Sookie finally seriously considering what would happen if she were exposed to the general public. Great times and alot of fun. Can't wait for the next book! Sookie is a great heroine! (24 December 2008)I got into the Sookie Stackhouse series a little late but I have been devouring the books ever since. All Together Dead is definitely the best of the bunch! The plot flows seamlessly and there's less of Bill (who I'm not the biggest fan of. I personally want Eric and Sookie together). I have put off reading the 8th book b/c I'm opening my Kindle tomorrow for Christmas and I plan on From Dead to Worse being my first download! Better than the average bite (16 December 2008)As usual, Charlaine Harris has given us a very entertaining view of another reality. This isn't the Sookie Stackhouse of "True Blood," exactly, but that's the difference between a great read and what the video media thinks is salable. All the basics about vampires and shape-changers are included, but Mrs. Harris finds new twists, carries Sookie's story forward without any gaps and brings every character to life. If you fell in love with the heroine and her world-line, as I did, with the first novel, this one just adds to the fascination. | |
